Human vagina represents a dynamic ecosystem dominated by certain species of Lactobacillus. This microorganism restricts the growth of pathogens by using properties of steric exclusion and inhibitory substance production. Serious complications including bacterial vaginosis and vaginal cancer are often determined in women with reduced numbers of lactobacilli. Local application of Lactobacillus is consequently promising to keep the vagina colonized by this strain, which consequently reduces the infections. The first objective of this research was to develop a local application pharmaceutical formulation of a vaginal suppository containing lyophilized culture of Lactobacillus with anti microbial agent clotrimazole. The second objective was to establish a stable clotrimazole suppositiry alone with Lactic acid Bacillus Spores for vaginosis. Keywords

Seminal oxidative stress in the male reproductive tract is known to result in peroxidative damage of the sperm plasma membrane and loss of its DNA integrity. Normally, a balance exists between concentrations of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and antioxidant scavenging systems. One of the rational strategies to counteract the oxidative stress is to increase the scavenging capacity of seminal plasma. Numerous studies have evaluated the efficacy of antioxidants in male infertility. In this review, the results of different studies conducted have been analyzed, and the evidence available to date is provided. We outline the role of nutritional and biochemical factors from the nutraceutical of anti oxidant class like lycopenes, selenium, folate, zinc, glutathiones, l-arginine, l-carnitine, coenzyme-Q, Vitamin E,Vitamin C,Vitamin B12 in reproduction and male infertility problem. Keywords

The present study was aimed at evaluating the chloroform extracts of whole part of Cyathocline lyrata cass antiinflammatory activity. Anti-inflammatory activity of chloroform extracts of whole part of Cyathocline lyrata cass was evaluated by carrageenan induced hind paw edema and Formalin induced paw edema method. Chloroform extracts of whole part of Cyathocline lyrata cass produced significant Anti-inflammatory activity when evaluated by carrageenan induced hind paw edema and Formalin induced paw edema method respectively. The interpretation of the results was done after subjecting the data obtained from various studies to statistical analysis which included one-way ANOVA followed by post-hoc with Dunnets t-test. The results suggest that the chloroform extracts of whole part of Cyathocline lyrata cass posses anti-inflammatory.Keywords

The first objective of this research was to develop a local application pharmaceutical formulation of a vaginal suppository with anti-microbial agent clotrimazole. The second objective was to establish a stable clotrimazole suppository and evaluation of suppository. In the present research a successful attempt to formulate a suppository by fusion method and the various evaluation parameters was done. The microbial test against the causative agents was performed. Finally the stability of the formulation was checked. The inhibitory action of the Clotrimazole suppository was satisfactorily. The methods of its evaluation developed in this research work may be beneficial in preventing bacterial vaginosis. Further investigations have to be carried out in antimicrobial activity in the bacterial viginosis treatment is needed. Keywords
